Transition from paper/physical logbook to digital logbook using Wingman

Transition from paper/physical logbook to digital logbook using Wingman

Wingman lets you start your digital logbook journey in a quick and simple manner, regardless of your flying experience. You may believe that because you have thousands of hours logged in the physical logbook, it's daunting to move to a digital logbook. Here we explain how easy it is for any pilot, at any stage to start their digital logbook journey and make life easy.

We've divided this into options based on where you are currently in your flying journey.

Please read the portion applicable to you as below -

1. ATPL holder or Captain and no need to log all individual flights into Wingman or eGCA

If you are an ATPL holder or a Captain and you do not need to log all flights individually into Wingman, you can simply bring your carry forward totals into Wingman and start logging individual flights from that point onwards.

Carrying forward your previous experience totals, aircraft wise is  the easiest and fastest way to convert your data digitally. Learn how to put Previous experience totals into Wingman here

2. Pilot who will be applying for CPL/ATPL issue in the future

CPL/ATPL aspirants need to log all of their flights onto eGCA and Wingman, when they apply for the the license.

We recommend starting the exercise as early as possible in your flying career because the amount of hassle increases with every flight done, literally.

1. To start off, start logging your flights in Wingman from the next flight that you undertake.
2. Bring your previous flights into Wingman using manual entry or roster import. Ensure that the details match your physical logbook.

3. For flights which cannot be imported from the roster, for eg CPL flying, you can simply log the flights manually as it is a very easy process.

3. Data Entry

Pilots looking for a hassle free way entering all their flights manually, can opt for our data entry service as well. We will manually convert scans of your data into Excel and then upload the same to your Wingman account. The data can then be uploaded to eGCA from the app itself.
