Default Settings in Wingman

Default Settings in Wingman app

The default settings in the Wingman app help you save time and workload while manually entering flights or importing flight data. Here you can setup the common values that are filled for each flight and the app automatically applies these values to each new flight that is added, after applying the settings.

Note: The settings DO NOT get applied to any previously stored flights.
For eg. if you have recently become a Capt from a FO, changing default operating capacity, will not change the operating capacity that is stored in existing flights. The settings take effect from the next duty that is entered into the app.

The common settings include:

Default Operating Capacity

Select the default operating capacity from the given dropdown menu. This is the operating capacity that you usually fly in - Dual, Solo, Co-Pilot, PIC, Instructor(LTC,TRI), Examiner (DE).

Automatic Instrument Time Calculator

When this option is enabled, 70% of the the total block time is automatically calculated as IFR actual time,  while a new flight is being entered.

Backup data on WiFi only

Your data is securely stored on our servers and backed up every few mins. This ensures offline capabilities as well as cross syncing of data from iOS to Android devices and vice-versa. Since the network can be patchy at many places, you may enable this option to sync your data on WiFi only.

Default Aircraft type for Roster Import

Roster import from ARMS doesn't fetch A/c type because it is not shown in the ARMS web portal. This setting allows you to apply a default a/c type for while importing flights from ARMS.
Note: This setting has no effect on roster import from AIMS

eGCA Current Entry settings

The Setup option lets you choose your default FTO/Operator and the verifier. The FTO/Operator and verifier gets attached to the flights that are being uploaded. The effort of manually selecting the operator and verifier for each flight is greatly reduced.

eGCA Flight type and Flight Purpose Default

Fields like eGCA Flight type and Flight purpose (exercises) are mandatory fields to be filled for each flight prior to uploading on eGCA. With the help of default settings, these values are filled automatically for all the flights, reducing the hassle of selecting the same fields over and over again.
Note: The settings DO NOT get applied to any previously stored flights.
For eg. If you have entered your CPL flying or flights from a previous airline/organisation, and have stored some values for the eGCA fields, changing the setting would not have any effect on them and will hold the value already stored. The settings take effect from the next duty that is entered into the app.

Dark Mode

It's the age of Dark mode and we could not be behind. While the Dark Mode reduces the strain on, it definitely makes the app look 'Next-Gen'.
