How to Migrate from Smart Logbook to Wingman Pilot Logbook

Prerequisites

  • An active Wingman subscription.

  • Access to your Smart Logbook (iOS or Android app).

  • Ability to export flight data from the app.

1: Export Data from Smart Logbook

Smart Logbook allows you to export your flights in CSV format — ideal for direct migration to Wingman.

Steps to Export:

  1. Open the Smart Logbook app on your phone or tablet.

  2. Go to the More/Settings page (usually three dots or a gear icon).

  3. Tap on Export Logbook Data.

  4. Choose CSV format when prompted.

  5. The app will give you an option to save file — save in on your device

2: Send the Exported File to Wingman

After you receive the CSV file:

  1. Compose an email to support@wingman.zohodesk.com.

  2. Attach the CSV file from Smart Logbook.

  3. Mention your Wingman registered email ID or Wingman User ID in the email body so we can match it to your account.

3: Let Wingman Handle the Migration

Once we receive your file:

  • Our team will review the data for:

    • Formatting issues

    • Missing fields (e.g. aircraft type, pilot role, flight times)

    • Any discrepancies or calculation gaps

  • If anything is unclear, we’ll contact you for clarification.

  • After that, we’ll begin the manual import process into your Wingman account.

4: Review & Approve Your Imported Logbook

Once your logbook is imported:

  • You’ll receive a confirmation email.

  • Log in to your Wingman app and review your data:

    • Total hours

    • PIC/SIC time

    • Dates, registrations, aircraft types, etc.

  • If any edits are required, our support team will assist you.

Important Notes

  • Smart Logbook’s CSV export includes most standard fields Wingman uses.

  • Please ensure the export includes:

    • Date of flight

    • Aircraft registration & type

    • Role (PIC, SIC, Dual, etc.)

    • Flight times (Total, Day, Night, IFR, Approaches, Landings)

  • If any data appears missing in the export, let us know — we can help reconstruct it if needed.
