How to get a quarterly summary in your logbook PDF

Logbook PDFs that print a summary page after every month can now print one summary page per quarter instead. Each quarterly page is titled with the whole quarter (for example Summary April to June 2026) and holds one per-aircraft table for each of its three months — the same columns as the monthly page.

Steps

  1. Open Reports. In the Wingman app, go to More → Reports and stay on the Logbooks tab.
  2. Pick your dates and logbook type. The quarterly option only shows for logbook types that print a monthly summary page.
  3. Open Advanced and turn on "Quarterly summary instead of monthly".

  4. Tap Get Report. Your flight pages are unchanged. Where you used to get a summary page after every month, you now get one page after each quarter, with a table for each month:

  5. Months without flights stay on the page, blank. A quarter always shows all three months. If you didn't fly in a month, or your report ends before it, that month's table is empty:

The option is off by default. Leave it off and your PDF has monthly summary pages, exactly as before.

Frequently asked questions

Which logbook formats have the quarterly option? The ones that print a summary page at the end of every month. If you pick a format and don't see Quarterly summary instead of monthly under Advanced, that format doesn't have a monthly summary to replace.

Does this change my flight pages or totals? No. Only the summary pages change. Flight pages, page totals and brought-forward totals are exactly the same.

Which months are in a quarter? Calendar quarters: January to March, April to June, July to September and October to December.

My report starts in the middle of a quarter. What happens? The page still shows all three months of that quarter. Months before your start date, or after your end date, print as empty tables.

Why is one month blank? You didn't log any flights that month, or it falls outside the dates you picked. The page keeps all three months so every quarter looks the same.

Is there a total for the whole quarter? Not on this page. Each month has its own Grand Total row.

Do I have to turn it on every time? Yes. It's off by default, so your usual exports don't change unless you ask.

Does it work for the CA 39 summaries or Excel export? No. It's for logbook PDFs only.
