Regional Express pilots connect their merlot.aero Crew.Portal account to Wingman and get two things: their roster in AirRoster (duties, sectors, positioning legs, courses, reserve days, layover hotels) and their flown sectors in the Wingman Pilot Logbook, read from the portal's own Crew Log Book report — flight time, rego and type, day/night split, command / ICUS / co-pilot time, instrument time, night take-offs and landings, GNSS approaches. The connection uses the pilot's existing Crew.Portal User ID and password; there is nothing to install or enable on the portal side.
Before you start: you need the User ID and password you use to sign in to Crew.Portal (the Rex crew portal). Wingman signs in with exactly the same details. Update the app first — this connection arrives with an app update.
Enter your Crew.Portal Username (your User ID — the employee number you sign in to the portal with) and Password, then tap Login.

You land on Roster Import with Regional Express (REX) shown as your airline. Under Import period, choose the Start Date (UTC) and End Date (UTC) you want to bring in (up to four months per run), check the A/c Type shown is your aircraft, and tap Fetch flights. Any range works — Wingman fetches the portal's Crew Log Book month by month and combines the result.

Review the sectors. Each one arrives with the date (UTC), flight number, route, aircraft type and rego, flight time, day/night split, your operating capacity (Command, ICUS, Co‑pilot or Training), instrument time, night take‑offs and landings and GNSS approaches — as recorded in the Crew Log Book. Add the other pilot's name where you want it, then Import to Database.
Tap Select airline, type Regional and pick Regional Express (REX). Enter your Crew.Portal Username and Password and tap Log in to your roster.

You'll see "Success! You've synced your Regional Express (REX) account with AirRoster. Duties will now be synced." Tap Import Now.
Your duties appear in the Duties tab: each flying day with its report time, sectors (positioning legs marked DHT), debrief and the layover hotel; reserve days, courses and days off as their own cards.

Pull down to refresh whenever a new roster is published. Calendar sync and FDP / rest figures work exactly as for every other airline.
Who this is for: Regional Express pilots with a Crew.Portal login. If you fly for another airline that also uses merlot.aero Crew.Portal, tell us — the connection is built to be switched on per airline.
Which login do I use? Your Crew.Portal User ID (your employee number) and password — the same ones you use on the Rex crew portal website.
Do I need to set anything up on the portal, or get approval from Rex? No. Wingman signs in the same way your browser does and reads the roster and Crew Log Book reports the portal already publishes for you.
I use both Wingman Pilot Logbook and AirRoster. Do I connect twice? Yes — each app connects on its own with the same credentials. Neither depends on the other.
How far back can I import? As far back as the portal lists published rosters — around two years on the accounts we have seen. Pick any date range; Wingman fetches the Crew Log Book month by month and combines it.
Where do the flight times come from? Flight time, day/night split, command / ICUS / co‑pilot time, instrument time, night take‑offs and landings and GNSS approaches come from the portal's Crew Log Book report, exactly as it records them. Off and on block times come from your roster's scheduled sector times, because the log book report doesn't carry them — adjust them on the import screen if a flight ran late.
Why does a leg show P1US (ICUS)? Because the Crew Log Book records ICUS time for that leg. Wingman logs it once, as ICUS, rather than as both ICUS and co‑pilot time. You can change the capacity before saving.
Are the captain's / first officer's names imported? No — the portal doesn't include crew names in the roster or the log book report. Add them on the import screen if you want them in your logbook.
Is my password safe? It is stored encrypted and used only to sign in to Crew.Portal on your behalf. You can disconnect the airline at any time from the roster settings.
I fly for another airline that uses the same crew portal software. Can I use this? Not yet — Regional Express is the first. Tell us which airline and we'll look at enabling it.
Nothing imports for next week. The Crew Log Book only contains flights that have been flown. Future days come through in AirRoster as roster duties, not as logbook sectors.
