How to add a new airport in Wingman?
Wingman has an inbuilt Airport database for all the major airports in the world. However, there are times when an airport may not be available in the database. Wingman allows you to add airport names which do not have an ICAO/IATA identifier.
This feature is available while adding a flight in the app.
Steps to add an airport -
- Open Wingman app and go to 'My Flight' page.
- Click on the '+' icon and select to Add flight.
- The 'From' and 'To' fields in the Add Flight page are the Departure and Arrival airports respectively.
- When the intended Airport is not available in the 'From' or 'To' field, there is an option of 'Add new'.
- Click on 'Add new' and fill up the mandatory fields marked with a * and click on Save.
- Create a four letter code for the airport, enter the name of the airport, Country of airport and enter the latitude and longitude of the airport.
The airport will now be added to your list and can be searched and selected in the future, without needing to be added again.
